Plant dyed Welsh mule combed tops

From flocks of sheep that graze the Cambrian Mountains region of Wales.

I have taken this locally grown wool and used my experience in natural dyeing to bring you a small, unique collection of colours.

Dyed in small batches at my garden studio. The tones are muted, soft and light.

Welsh mule sheep are the result of cross breeding a Bluefaced Leicester ram with a Welsh Mountain, Beulah or Welsh Hill Speckled-face ewe.

They produce wool with a beautiful sheen & bounce with a medium to long staple length.
