Knit a Chunky Blanket Workshop

Chunky Knitting…

…today at the fabulous Felin Fach Griffin, Brecon. It really is always great fun and a pleasure to host this ever popular workshop.

Did you know that every ball of yarn has been spun by hand by me at my garden studio on a mountain in Carmarthenshire before the students get to knit their blankets?. I wash the yarn too, creating a much more stable yarn that can stand up to daily use.

Each student has 2.5kg to knit with using hand made 25mm oak needles. (My hubby makes the knitting needles)

On this particular workshop, every student completed their blanket. Very productive!

…add lots of laughter and chats, a delicious 2 course lunch, tea/coffee + cookies and hey presto! the result was a lovely day had by all.
