I’m so happy to announce that the launch of my new exclusive yarns will be at the Wonderwool Wales event on the 22nd-23rd April 2023

These yarns have a special place in my heart as they have both been produced from locally sourced wool.

I’m passionate about using fleece from selected small farms in my rural, sheep farming community & keeping the footprint as small as possible.

Woolly miles:

‘Limited Edition’ is made from my neighbours Shetland sheep some 1/4 mile of my studio & ‘Single Farm BFL’ uses the lustrous fleece from a flock of Blueface Leicesters that graze 25 miles away.

The wool is spun into 4ply yarn at a family owned mill 40 miles of the studio.

Keeping the ‘woolly miles’ production small helps keep the process as sustainable as possible & supports local farms.

Yarn Spec:

‘Single Farm BFL’ - 100% Blueface Leicester - 4ply, 100g skein, 425 metres approx

Hand dyed using plants, botanicals extracts & natural spring water, colours are inspired by the landscape & changing seasons of a Welsh mountain.

‘Limited Edition’ - 100% Shetland - 4ply, 100g skein, 440 metres approx

Yarns will be available to purchase at Wonderwool Wales & then online from the 29th April when I’ll be doing a ‘live’ presentation on Instagram as part of Yorkshire Yarn Fest.
